Restoration of TLR camera viewfinder mirror after an unprofessional cleaning attempt
The viewfinder mirror of the Welta Reflekta II was damaged during an unprofessional cleaning attempt.
During the restoration, the original glass was fully cleaned and a new reflective silver layer, along with a protective silicone coating, was applied.
Main advantages compared to a full mirror replacement:
- The original glass is preserved
- No need for shimming the mirror or adjusting the viewing lens due to differences in glass thickness
